Wishing All a Happy and Healthy Labor Day
For generations, we in the labor movement have dedicated ourselves to improving the lives and working conditions for all middle class Americans. Throughout our many trials and tribulations, working men and women played by the rules and successfully overcame all types of adversity. The strength of a nation rests on the shoulders of working Americans and we continue to fulfill this great responsibility with honor and courage.
We are hardly capable of recounting the many victories of the labor movement in just one day, but given this special holiday we can surely acknowledge the past sacrifices which were made on our behalf. Labor Day is a time to remember our history as well as look towards the future of our movement and our country.
This holiday is for us and our families to enjoy. We sincerely wish every one of our brothers and sisters a happy and healthy Labor Day weekend. And if this just means spending a relaxing weekend at home with the family – there is no doubt that we have certainly earned it.
