Tropicana Workers Deal a Winning Hand
Just two days after slot technicians at Caesars voted to form a union by the count of 20-11, casino dealers at Tropicana won a voice at work by the overwhelming margin of 626-157 on Saturday. Cashiers at Caesars are set to vote for their own union later this week.
Last week's elections bring the total number of Atlantic City gaming employees forming unions since March to more than 3,600. Earlier this year, casino dealers at Caesars, Bally's and Trump Plaza chose to be represented by the UAW and have been working to reach a fair first contract with their employers.
