Labor Wins! Building Power for Workers (Trenton and Perth Amboy Runoff Election Results)

Congratulations Hailey Cruz!

Congratulations Hailey Cruz!

In Trenton and Perth Amboy, two of our endorsed labor candidates have emerged victorious in yesterday’s run-off elections for city council elections.

In Trenton, Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg, member of CWA Local 1038 will represent the Capital City’s South Ward.

In Perth Amboy, Hailey Cruz, member of AFT Local 857 will be seated as a member of the City’s governing body.

We are incredibly proud of these union sisters due to the hard work, dedication, and leadership it takes to become a candidate and run an effective campaign, especially when it is extended due to a run-off election.

These two victories are the result of the work of our Mercer County CLC, Middlesex-Somerset County CLC and our union volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring our union sisters to victory.

We look forward to working with our newly elected sisters to amplify the voice of working families in City Council..
