Today, we are honored to join with our Congressional representatives in Washington to mark an historic day for working families in our state and across the nation.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of affiliates and dedicated volunteers in New Jersey, we are able to celebrate the inauguration of the first New Jersey State AFL-CIO labor candidate – Brother Donald Norcross, IBEW 351 – and the first African American woman – Bonnie Watson Coleman – to serve as part of our state’s Congressional delegation. We are equally proud to stand with our many long-time friends in Congress who will continue to champion the cause of working families across the nation.
The invitation we received from our delegation to attend the U.S. House of Representatives Inauguration is a testament to the extraordinary efforts of the New Jersey labor movement, and we are proud to represent all of our brothers and sisters here today.
