The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is proud to announce the 13th Annual Women in Leadership Development (WILD) Conference that will take place at the Hilton East Brunswick from March 4-5, 2016. This year’s conference will offer new and enlightening insights into building leadership skills, women’s labor history, and the fight for our economic future.
Back by popular demand, we will once again be joined by singer/songwriter Bev Grant whose “We Were There” performance is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate and experience the stories of some of nation’s most courageous women leaders. We will also be joined by USW District 4 Staff Dave Wasiura and Valerie Thomas, who will share a compelling presentation covering labor history fundamentals and the importance of labor’s political involvement.
To cap off the conference, we will expand on the economic lessons from past conferences with an updated Common Sense Economics workshop taught by our WILD sisters. This power-building curriculum will give us the tools and strategies to address the most pressing economic challenges presently facing working families.
This conference is one you will not want to miss. Further details regarding registration and lodging will be sent in the coming months. Thank you as always for your continued support and for making this 13th annual WILD conference possible.
