Our brothers and sisters with the IAM Flight Attendants and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA need your help in urging Congress to ensure that flight attendants, like pilots, get 10 hours of rest so that they can safely and efficiently perform their duties.

While the role of a pilot is universally understood, flight attendants serve in a variety of capacities that many of us do not realize. Flight attendants are safety professionals, first responders, and are tasked with handling emergencies and caring for thousands of passengers every day. However, study after study shows that flight attendants are impacted by fatigue on a regular basis, negatively affecting their ability to perform safety functions in an emergency.
Therefore, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO asks for your support of this campaign that calls on Congress to support 10 hours of rest for flight attendants and a fatigue risk management plan in the next Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Bill.
Thank you again, and we look forward to your support of our brothers and sisters standing up for fair working conditions, quality customer service, and flight safety.
