The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is a founding partner of the nonpartisan grassroots coalition Working Families United for New Jersey, Inc. which is leading a statewide “Raise the Wage” campaign to achieve voter approval of Ballot Question #2 on Election Day November 5th.
On the day before Election Day, the coalition will be taking its voter education efforts to 11 of the busiest transit hubs in New Jersey, and we urge you to join us in leafleting these locations with information about the minimum wage on Monday, November 4, 2013, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (A list of leafleting locations is below). Please identify the station nearest you and then confirm your participation with Campaign Manager Paul Penna at 609-989-8289 or ppenna@wfunj.org.
New Jersey has one of the most robust transportation systems in the nation, providing us with a golden opportunity to spread the word about raising the minimum wage. Once again, thank you for all of your support.
