During this time when workers seeking to organize face unprecedented opposition from businesses and wealthy political donors, RWDSU Local 108 has shown that solidarity can and will prevail in our state. This was recently demonstrated through an organizing victory achieved by 30 drivers at Transdev, an international transportation company.
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO congratulates RWDSU Local 108 and its organizing team for their role in making this victory possible and welcomes our new brothers and sisters to our union family.
Local 108 was also able to help negotiate first contracts for members employed at Kinnelon Library and crossing guards in Lakewood. We congratulate the union and its members for their success in achieving the security and strength that only comes from a union contract.
By joining together in a union, workers empower themselves to stand up for fairness and respect in the workplace. RWDSU Local 108 continues to be a champion in our state for workers seeking to exercise their collective voice and build a better future for themselves and their families.
