The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is proud to congratulate our union brother, Dan O’Connell, for his victory in Saturday’s special election for Burlington County Freeholder.
A respected union leader who advocates for working families, Brother O’Connell is a former Vice President of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, past Legislative Director of UTU/SMART Transportation Division and a sitting member of the Delran Town Council. Brother O’Connell will stand for reelection this November to complete his full term.
This election marks 1,025 rank-and-file union member victories within our labor candidates program. The New Jersey State AFL-CIO Labor Candidates program is one-of-a-kind, helping to achieve labor representation across every level of New Jersey Government since 1997. These victories would not have been possible without the continuous and generous support of our affiliates, Central Labor Councils, and Building Trades Councils.
The New Jersey State AFL-CIO once again congratulates Dan O’Connell for his victory and applauds his continued efforts to benefit the community he represents.
