We remain thankful to the majority of New Jersey’s Congressional delegation for standing with middle class families, but there are still two extreme holdouts – Representatives MacArthur and Frelinghuysen. While it’s important for all of our representatives to hear from us, those living in the 3rd and 11th Congressional Districts should make their especially opposition clear.

The above graphic from New Jersey Policy Perspective paints a clear picture of the risks this plan poses to New Jersey’s working families, but it’s only the tip of the iceberg. This reckless and unaffordable plan would add an estimated $1.5 trillion to the national debt, cut hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicare and Medicaid, and use that money to fund massive tax cuts for the rich. It’s hard to believe that such a misguided plan could be proposed, but the important thing is that we have the power to stop it.
