President Biden’s legacy as the most pro-labor president in history serves as an example to all of what it means to be a true advocate and defender of the rights of working people. Throughout his term, President Biden demonstrated his commitment to seeing the labor movement flourish under his leadership.
During his time in office, the President led the passage of legislation that revitalized our economy, brought manufacturing jobs back to America, and created millions of good-paying union jobs. He has adamantly fought for labor standards in every federal investment, raised the wages of hundreds of thousands of federal contractors, and led the charge for fair pay for working people across the country.
“At the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, President Biden has our deepest respect for his contributions to the New Jersey Labor Movement. Biden successfully tackled critical concerns for New Jersey’s working families including jobs, corporate greed, prescription drug prices, childcare, and pensions,” said New Jersey State AFL-CIO President Charles Wowkanech. “He also delivered on his commitment to increasing the number of good paying union jobs, while investing in much needed improvements to infrastructure, by funding the Hudson Tunnel Project,” he concluded.
“President Biden has our deepest gratitude, as the most pro-union president in history. He has never wavered in his support of working people, or his commitment to our union values. What he was able to accomplish for the New Jersey Labor Movement alone demonstrates the depth of what he has done for working people,” said Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennan.
At the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, we honor President Biden’s legacy as the most pro-union president in our history; a testament to his 50 years of service to all working people.
