The House of Labor Welcomes Mikie Sherrill

Today, our union volunteers welcomed our pro-union, endorsed gubernatorial candidate, Mikie Sherrill, at the Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council. Sharing her vision for our state’s future, Mikie Sherrill was joined by our endorsed assembly candidates, and our own union brothers including, Bergen County Commissioner Tom Sullivan, (IBEW 164) who is running for re-election, Cengiz Sever (BAC 7) who is running for North Arlington Council, and Kenneth Mann (IBEW 164), who is running for Cresskill Council. Mikie Sherrill’s words served as a source of inspiration at the labor walk, speaking to the significance of this year’s election for our labor movement.

Every Saturday, our union volunteers meet in union halls to prepare for the labor walks, and hear from our endorsed  assembly and labor candidates who are running for office.

Our central labor councils hit record breaking numbers of volunteers this weekend, with hundreds of union members motivated to shape our future. During this election cycle, Mikie Sherrill will continue to meet and talk with the hundreds of union members at our labor walks that are hosted by our central labor councils at union halls around the state. This is going to be a close race, and all of us need to amp up our efforts, educate our own members, and show up for labor walks.
