The U.S. Department of Labor is welcoming New Jersey unions to take part in a free educational workshop being held at the Rutgers Labor Education Center next week.

Various representatives from the Department of Labor and the Office of Labor Management Standards (OLMS), will be present to discuss topics of interest to the labor community, including, but not limited to the following:
- Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act: Forms LM-2, 3 and 4
- Financial recordkeeping
- Union officer elections
- Updated overtime regulations
- Agency requirements and what they mean for you and your members
This year’s event will also include presentations from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and USDOL’s Wage Hour Division. The NLRB will talk about their policies and procedures for when workers join together, with or without a union, to improve their wages and working conditions or to form a union.
