ACTION ALERT: Ask Your Senator to Improve Unemployment Benefits for Striking Workers

Click here to ask your Senator to support S-3215, which would reduce the waiting period for striking workers to receive unemployment insurance from four weeks to two weeks and closes loopholes that result in workers being denied benefits.

When workers strike, it’s because all other options to get an employer to negotiate in good faith have been exhausted. The decision to strike is not easy, because workers may lose the pay that their families rely on to provide food, housing, and healthcare.

That is why it is critical for the State Senate to pass this legislation. Ask your Senator to support S-3215 now!

The bill has already been passed by the New Jersey General Assembly, and needs your support to pass the Senate.

You can show your solidarity with working families on the picket line by calling on your Senator to support S-3215 today. Click here to send a pre-written e-mail to your State Senator!
