Take Action Immediately! Ask Assembly to pass bills to support frontline workers fighting COVID

COVID has had a major negative health impact on essential workers and their families. Two bills in the Assembly — A-3998 and A-4129 — would help us protect them as the virus continues to surge in our state.

A-3998 (Murphy / Giblin / Verrelli) would provide a COLA increase annually from workers compensation to the dependents of certain essential workers who contracted COVID during the course of their employment and later died from COVID.

A-4129 (Spearman / Vainieri Huttle / Mukherji) would require health-care facilities to report to the Health Department the number of COVID-19 infections and deaths among health-care workers.

Both bills passed the Senate and have been released from committee in the Assembly.

Please urge all members of the General Assembly to pass them as soon as possible for the benefit of these frontline workers.

CLICK HERE NOW to email your Assembly member and ask them to act!
