Action Alert! Please ask your state senator to pass workers comp reform that supports families of workers who died of COVID-19

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO thanks and commends the New Jersey State Senate Appropriations Committee for advancing S-2476 – Cost of Living Adjustment in Workers Compensation to Dependents of Essential Workers Who Died of COVID-19.

The bill, which now goes before the entire Senate for a vote on Monday, June 15, is sponsored by Sen. Troy Singleton.

It was unanimously approved in committee on June 11 by Chairman Sarlo, D-36th District, and Sens. Singleton, D-7th District, Addiego, D-8th District, Cunningham, D-31st District, Cruz-Perez, D-5th District, Diegnan, D-18th District, Greenstein, D-14th District, O’Scanlon, R-13th District, Oroho, R-24th District, Ruiz, D-29th District, Testa, R-1st District, and Thompson, R-12th District.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO urges all affiliates to TAKE ACTION by sending a pre-written letter to their state senators asking them to vote for this compassionate pro-labor bill on Monday, June 15.
