Gene Hill Wins PERS Election for Board of Trustee Seat

Gene Hill Wins PERS Election for Board of Trustee Seat

Congratulations to Gene Hill,  AFSCME member and New Jersey State AFL-CIO Public Employee Committee (PEC) endorsed candidate, on his election as the municipal representative to the Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) Board of Trustees!

The results were announced this morning, and Gene defeated an incumbent management representative by approximately 600 votes out of 9,200 cast.

All six elected seats are now held by union members and the PEC endorsed candidate has now won every election for the past 20 years!

Thank you to all of the public employee unions that mobilized their members to vote on Gene’s behalf.
