Profile: Lillian Ford Feickert

In partnership with the national AFL-CIO and historical societies, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO honors women who have made a significant impact in the labor, suffrage and women’s rights movements. We hope you meet them all.

Today: Lillian Ford Feickert, who played a key role in an unsuccessful 1915 statewide referendum to gain voter approval of women voting.  She was one of the primary lobbyists in New Jersey’s ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment on Feb. 8, 1920.
