REST IN PEACE CONGRESSMAN BILL PASCRELL Jr.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of New Jersey Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr., CD-9,  a true ally to working families in New Jersey.

Throughout his many years in public service as a mayor, assemblyman, and congressman, Congressman Pascrell touched the lives of countless workers from all sectors of the labor movement. With a 98% lifetime COPE voting record, Congressman Pascrell was dedicated to representing the voices of all working people, fighting to increase the minimum wage, to remove barriers to accessing healthcare and education. A fierce advocate for worker’s rights, Congressman Pascrell was deeply concerned with the health and  safety of workers.

At the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, he will always be remembered as a true champion of working families. Our condolences are extended to his family and friends during this difficult time.
