SOLIDARITY ALERT: Rutgers Employees Continue to Mobilize – Join us at Two Events on Campus

Rally Before the Board of Governor’s Meeting TOMORROW

Bargaining Rally on Tuesday, April 25, 2023

Although the picket lines have temporarily come down and the strike has been suspended, the union movement must continue to shine a light on several outstanding labor issues that need to be addressed by Rutgers University.

This Thursday, April 20, 2023, please help the AAUP-AFT, PTLFC-AFT, and AAUP-BHSNJ send an urgent message to the Board of Governors by coming out to an informational picket at 11:30 a.m. outside Winant’s Hall at the corner of Somerset Street and College Avenue in New Brunswick. We will then head to the Board of Governor’s Meeting at noon to speak about the need for fair contracts for ALL Rutgers unions. Our historic strike has won significant gains at the table, but more work needs to be done to ensure all who work at Rutgers have a fair contract with decent wages, hours, and working conditions.

A second event will occur on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, and coincide with a URA-AFT bargaining session. Join the informational picket at the Administrative Services Building II Rutgers University Human Resources office located at 57 Route 1 South at 11:30 a.m.  Please join us to finish this fight with Rutgers management!

For additional information regarding tomorrow’s event, please contact Todd Vachon at the AAUP-AFT via email at: dj_mayday@hotmail.com or via cell at: 917-674-6191.

For additional information regarding the URA-AFT event on April 25, 2023, please contact Christine O’Connell, President of AFT 1766 at 908-418-2558 or via e-mail at:
