The House of Representatives will vote soon – perhaps as early as tomorrow – on President Trump’s budget bill.
The Senate version – which passed today – has made the cuts to Medicaid even larger than the House passed version. 11.8 million people would now lose their health care coverage by 2034, according to the Congressional Budget Office. These cuts to Medicaid will have a harmful and devastating impact on low-income families and the most vulnerable members of our society. Furthermore, it will result in the biggest increase in debt in history – adding $3.3 trillion to the deficit.
