[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”61″ display=”basic_imagebrowser”]With the race for governor razor-close and the end of voting in Election 2021 just three days away, IUPAT General President James A. Williams Jr. joined Gov. Phil Murphy and thousands of union volunteers in a statewide GOTV push to get maximum voter turnout.Voter turnout is essential for pro-union Phil Murphy to become the first Democrat re-elected as governor since 1977. To make history, every union voice must be heard at the ballot box. We must Get Out The Vote!
On Saturday, October 30, our governor and our national labor leader, along with New Jersey State AFL-CIO President Charles Wowkanech and Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennan, Mercer County CLC President Michael Maloney, IBEW 269 Business Manager Steve Aldrich, Assemblyman Wayne P. DeAngelo – our endorsed Labor Candidate – and other local labor officers visited the Mercer County CLC labor walk.
They thanked our dedicated brothers and sisters, urged them to keep campaigning until the polls close on Tuesday, and showed solidarity with our labor candidates.
The deadline for Vote-by-Mail is 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2. In-person Early Voting ends Sunday, October 31, at 6 p.m., and traditional Election Day voting is 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Our future is at stake! Every vote counts! Every volunteer is crucial!
Volunteers are needed from now until the minute polls close on Tuesday to make phone calls, send texts and make sure union families’ votes count. To volunteer, check the calendar at https://njaflcio.org/cope/labor-walks
Together we will make history by re-electing Gov. Phil Murphy!
