New Jersey State AFL-CIO Congratulates Nick Scutari on his election as Senate President

Senator Steven Oroho Elected Senate Republican Minority Leader

New Jersey State AFL-CIO Congratulates Nick Scutari (D-22) on his election as Senate President. “Senator Scutari was a strong leader as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and has the experience to lead as the Senate President.  He has worked his way up through the ranks from Linden School Board to the Senate Presidency.  We are confident that he will be a strong advocate for all of New Jersey’s working families” said New Jersey State AFL-CIO President Charles Wowkanech.

The Senate Democratic Caucus rounded out its leadership team with Sen. Theresa Ruiz (D-29) as Senate Majority Leader and Sen. Sandra Cunningham (D-31) as President Pro-tempor.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO also applauds Senator Steven Oroho (R-24) on becoming the leader of the Republican Senate Caucus.

Congratulations to every elected member of the State Senate.  Heading into the 2022/2023 legislative session, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO looks forward to working with both Democrats and Republicans to produce results on behalf of New Jersey’s working families.
