New Jersey State AFL-CIO Honors Military Service with Visits to Veteran Memorial Homes

Throughout the week the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, through its Union Veteran’s Council, organized visits to Veteran Memorial Homes in Vineland, Menlo Park and Paramus to honor their service and celebrate Veterans Day.

Our Veteran Memorial Home visits have become a cherished tradition for the residents and staff of the Memorial Homes, and we thank Bimbo’s Bakery and BCTGM for their generous donations of union-made snacks, treats, and everyday essentials that go a long way towards making our visits special.

Our Union Veterans Council serves as the voice of veterans in our labor movement, and we thank them for their incredible effort to engage and honor our brothers and sisters who served.

We look forward to bolstering our outreach to the Veterans Memorial Homes with additional visits in the winter and spring.
