Honoring public servants, teachers, nurses, police and all heroes

As we honor our union brothers and sisters during Public Service Recognition Week, from May 2-8, Teacher Appreciation Week, from May 3-7, National Nurses Week, from May 6-12, and National Police Week, from May 9-15, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO shares our deepest gratitude for all the ways these essential workers stepped up throughout the last year of the pandemic.

And as we look ahead to the reopening of New Jersey offices, businesses, schools and day care centers, and the ongoing reduction of infections, we take pride in the confident knowledge that public servants, first responders, teachers, health care professionals and all other workers in every sector of labor will continue to lead the way to a brighter, more prosperous, more equitable tomorrow.

Thank you for your tireless efforts. Thank you for your solidarity.
