NJ AFL-CIO congratulates four distinguished New Jersey labor leaders

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO congratulates President Donna M. Chiera of AFT-NJ and President Deborah White of HPAE/AFT on their election as vice presidents on the American Federation of Teachers National Executive Council. Their dedicated service to the AFT and all working families in New Jersey and America will continue through these new roles, and the New Jersey State AFL-CIO thanks these sisters for their solidarity and enthusiasm.

The state labor federation likewise congratulates AFSCME International Vice President Debbie Parks on her re-election. Sister Parks embodies tireless devotion to her members and to the cause of organized labor.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO also congratulates Brother Johnnie Whittington of SMWIA 27 on his appointment to the Thomas Edison State University Board of Trustees. He continues to represent the best interests of union members in Mercer County in unity.

The officers and staff of the New Jersey AFL-CIO are proud of our sisters and brother and wish them success.
